B-to-B, B-to-C, and sometimes a little Chai Tea

Meet the Coolest Bean...Jill Miller. The genetic by-product of a salesman father and philosopher mother, marketing seemed to be the most natural career path for Jill, who learned sales closing techniques by osmosis at the dinner table. An aspiring actress as a young girl, but realist, she decided that she liked to eat and really didn’t want to starve on Hollywood Boulevard waiting for someone to discover her. So she took the tools of acting she learned and transferred them to the world of business where she could utilize her research, people, and creative skills to sell products and services. To make it official, she acquired a marketing degree.

For more than 25 years Jill has worked in all areas of marketing including branding, market and customer research, strategic planning, product management, integrated communications planning and development, and, go figure …even sales! In 1994 she created her own marketing consulting company and focused on developing integrated marketing communications programs for clients big and small, in a wide variety of industries. Her clients include R.L Polk, IBM, Gold’s Gym International, Copeland Sports, Experian, Mark VII Equipment, and Cahners Publishing.

Jill’s ability to quickly assimilate new information and identify relevant issues that impact existing business strategies and drive new product, marketing, and operational efforts have helped her clients to realize greater returns on their marketing investments. She’s an effective team member and leader with proven experience working on project teams and managing diverse groups.

Her favorite stress relief is laughing and her motto in life is “a sense of humor reduces people and problems to their proper proportions.”  She’s a curious sort and voracious reader. Her secret passion is to be a stand-up comedian. When she’s in relax mode you’ll likely find her on her patio with her head in a book or magazine. Or, watching any of the reality programs on television. “Life is a series of sound bites. I strive to make mine memorable.
